Our part-time adult upgrading programs include literacy, numeracy, and essential communication and digital skills building, as well as academic upgrading for college entrance and high school equivalency test preparation.

Adult Literacy & Essential Skills Programs

Programs are offered at various locations throughout Halton. Check the program details for class schedules and locations.

RSW + Adult Tutoring

Our Adult Tutoring Program offers 1:1 and small group tutoring for adults looking to improve their reading, writing, or math skills from the basics to the grade 9 level. Classes run in the communities of Halton in 12-15 week sessions from September to July.  Part-time day and evening classes are available. Intake is continuous.

CSW Computer Skills for Work

Our Computer Skills for Work program in Halton communities offers eight-week introductory courses covering essential skills such as Windows, Microsoft Word, file management, internet basics, business communications, and numeracy, with both daytime and evening classes available from September to July.

Volunteers are members of our Halton communities who wish to make a difference.  We recognize and truly appreciate the contributions of all of our volunteers, whether they work directly with adult learners, sit on our Board of Directors, or help organize a special FUNdraising event.  Volunteers are integral to our Adult Learning Centres Halton program and service offering, and contribute positively to adult learner goal achievement.
